And Mary Jo’s orthopedist said…?

By smithdale2 | May 19, 2009

We met with Mary Jo’s orthopedist and have good news about her broken ankle. It is healing well and she is to “wean off” wearing the orthopedic boot and support the ankle with a special “wrap.” She’s able to move slowly without a cane in the house and on our patio—which is covered with a wisteria which provides near total shade. It makes a great place to relax with a cup of coffee or glass of tea. She’s enjoying getting around and looking forward to being able to drive and get out “on her own.” She’s trying to decide what to study at Western KY University next semester and even wondering how soon she’ll be able to play tennis again. I’ve got my doubts about that happening, but I’ve underestimated her before. Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, “get-well” messages and other forms of encouragement. How blessed we are to have such friends!
